Ingredients
peanut butter oat base:
- 1 ½ cups (360 g) creamy peanut butter
- ⅓ cup (80 ml) maple syrup or honey
- 1 ½ cup (150 g) old fashioned oats
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
chocolate topping:
- 1 ½ cups dark chocolate chips
- ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
Directions
1.Grease and line a 9x9 inch pan with parchment paper. 2.To a microwave safe bowl, add peanut butter and microwave for 60 seconds or until the peanut butter has melted. Add maple syrup or honey, oats, and vanilla and mix with a spatula to combine. 3.Press the mixture evenly in the prepared pan. 4.For the chocolate topping, in a medium bowl, combine chocolate chips with peanut butter and melt in the microwave at 30 second increments stirring in between until smooth. 5.Spread the chocolate all over the peanut butter layer, you can also create decorative patterns with a toothpick. 6.Chill in the fridge until it’s firm (2-3 hours), then take it out of the fridge and allow to sit for 15 minutes at room temperature, then cut into 9, 12, or 18 squares.
